Plum Blossoms In a Warm Breeze

February and March are the season of plum blossoms.
Cherries are gorgeous and plums are noble.
This is an andromeda tree. Have you ever seen it?
It has little white pot-shaped flowers without any fragrance. I hope you enjoy spring in good health.
這個樹的名稱是馬醉木。

  4. I have never heard of an andromeda tree, yet those blooms look very familiar to me from up north in the early summer. Perhaps it is a "relative." Your blossoms are wonderful -- I hope they are as fragrant as beautiful.

  5. I've never seen an andromeda tree before -- its blossoms are lovely! We will have flowering fruit trees here in my part of Canada in the second half of May, so we must wait for two more months!

  6. Dearest RTC,
This is for Japan the best season when all plum and cherry blossoms are putting on their best show!
Indeed, the Pieris japonica is a gem! Very popular in The Netherlands and also here you find them.
    Hugs,

  7. Years ago we used to have some plum trees and a cherry tree. They were gorgeous when they bloomed.

  8. I think about half of my Chinese antiques have plum blossoms carved on them, and in Ohio, Spring was a good time to locate the flowering plum trees to enjoy the blossoms, then come back and get the plums later. From your photo of the Andromeda tree, one can immediately see its relation to blueberries, wintergreen, and other members of the heath family.

  9. I read that it can be poisonous. Care will have to be taken when handling it, despite which it looks very good in gardens.
