The persimmon leaves are shining under the strong sunshine in May. This May is quite hot. Last Sunday the temperature of my city was 34.7℃. Persimmon trees are tough.
This is a young fruit just after blooming. It will be a tennis ball size in autumn. I love its red.
Great photo! It has been too hot for May! What will July or August be like?
ReplyDeleteLooks healthy.
ReplyDeleteLovely see this fruit!
ReplyDeleteHello rtc, Persimmon trees are quite beautiful. As you know, I love fruit tress of all sorts, and a tree loaded with fruit is a sight to behold, but in addition the dark persimmon leaves are always attractive. Some kinds will grow in America, even in the colder regions. Since they are in the ebony family, their wood is quite beautiful also.

I don't think I've ever seen a persimmon tree before. Your photographs are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI see the persimmon tree first time, interesting. I do love its fruit as well.
Hope you have big harvest.
Happy summer!
Dearest RTC.,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post and it brings back frond memories of our own Japanese Diospyros Kaki Persimmon tree we used to have. But due to constant attack by squirrels and raccoons, we had to chop the tree down. Only the very first year we could enjoy its delicious fruits that kept for some 6 weeks, like apples.
Thanks for sharing your great photos and may you enjoy the fruits in the fall.
Hugs,
Mariette
Beautiful plant, I did not know, thanks for sharing.
