Short trip in spring

Cherry blossoms have opened.

This is the temple gate painted red.

I also visited an old merchant house build 100 years ago.

A stone lantern in the garden.

The wall of the house was made with stone to prevent fire.

Swans come to my city.

When I came to the lake, I saw two swans close to the shore. I threw them pieces of bread but they never ate. Swans like to eat green leaves thrown by visitors.
The wings are pure white. Sometimes they put their heads into the water to eat algae.

Wheat Plants Are Growing

In spite of low temperatures and heavy frosts sometimes, wheat plants are growing. Leaves have become two inches long.
They are enjoying the warm sunshine.
Rice fields were dug up soon after harvesting, waiting for rice-planting in the end of April.
