Cold Soba In the Summer

Cold soba will refresh you on hot days. The upper left tempura is a mix of onion and carrot.
Do not forget to take protein at another meal so as to maintain your energy.

Happy July to you!

  1. 在炎熱天氣吃冷蕎麥麵或素麵的確涼快,我偶然也會吃 🍜

  3. Hello RTC, That meal is just the kind that appeals to me. I should make some soon. Sometimes when I have served cold noodles (涼麵) to friends, I had several optional toppings, including stir-fried diced chicken to add that protein. Hard-boiled eggs are also common accompaniments, along with shredded cucumber, carrots, etc.

  5. Of course, protein is always needed, RTС. I like watching the videos of how Japanese food is cooked, lots of protein.

  10. That does look delicious. I like the idea of carrot tempura (although, alas, I can't really eat onions)

  11. What a great idea for a hot day. That cold soba looks so refreshing, and the tempura on top is making my mouth water. It's such a perfect, light meal for when you don't want anything heavy. You're so right about remembering protein it's so easy to forget when it's hot out. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy July to you too
