This bird is very interesting. It stands still without any motion for hours beside the stream to catch a fish. After coming to a zoo, it doesn't worry about food and moves freely.
Terrible heat waves are attacking many countries now. Be careful not to suffer from heat stroke and dehydration.

Nice key chain and info on the bird changing its behaviour when in a zoo. I imagine that is true for many animals.

Bird looks nice. Yes it's been hot in Oregon and now there's fires in areas. I saw some smoke when I left work today but looks like it's gone. 100 degrees F on Friday and Saturday and much cooler today 86 degrees. You stay cool, happy and hydrated as well! Take care1
ReplyDeleteNos Zoos ainda que estes sejam importantes meios de preservação de algumas espécies, nunca se conseguem reproduzir completamente as condições naturais... e as condições ideais. Pelo menos o aspeto positivo é a ave, não ter mais preocupação de alimento! Acho que nunca vi tal ave, por estas paragens... mas gostei de a ver no porta-chaves.
ReplyDeleteSobre ondas de calor, aqui em Portugal temos tido sucessivas desde Maio... e o nosso país está em seca profunda! Praticamente há um ano que chove pouquíssimo!
O clima está a alterar-se por todo o lado, a um ritmo inimaginável! As alterações climáticas já não serão um problema das gerações vindouras... são um problema bastante grave já no presente!
E os incêndios nunca que aproximaram tanto dos meios urbanos, como este ano, e em vários países da Europa. Há umas semanas, tive um bastante próximo da região onde habito. Até deixei imagens no meu blog.

Summer here in Norway, been very rainy.Eight weeks with rain temp about 13 degrees...and autumm soon is coming !My plants grow big and juicy in this weather.Specially the tomato plants.Also been fishing alot and picking berries save it and freezze it for the winther .I hope you do well in the heat!Much blessings to you and family.Greetings Anita

ReplyDeleteI think the bird looks annoyed to be tied to a key ring .... I think he likes to be free, to look for fish :) Yes, it's very hot in London. I don't like it at all. In a heat-wave, a city is not the best place to be.
