When you visit Japan in spring and watch a weather forecast on the TV, you will see a nation map with some lines drawn on it. They tell you the average day when cherry blossoms will open . I found this map at an expressway rest area.This cherry tree is a specimen. Not open yet. Do you know any other flower fronts?

ReplyDeleteThe cherry blossoms were late during the Spring that I was in Japan. But eventually they did flower and then, what magnificence!

ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful idea to have a map and also on the TV to tell the approximate date of the blossom coming out on the trees, I've seen photos of the blossom from Japan it's breath taking.
ReplyDeleteThe plum blossom front also happens earlier in the season, marking the transition to spring with their delicate pink and white flowers. Each flower front brings its own unique beauty and symbolism to the landscape, much like the cherry blossoms.

Wonderful. Although we have had a few mild days, it is still cold 🥶 here in Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦 😀 Thankfully I love the winter so this is OK for me.
