People enjoy the blossoms in spring. A few of them know some kinds of cherry bloom in autumn, which are called ”October Cherry”.
I found them after getting a COVID vaccination today.

| Though they are not so gorgeous as spring ones, their petals are still attractive in the cool air. October Cherry was named more than 200 years ago. At that time, people still used a lunar calendar. Roughly speaking, each lunar month runs 30 days late to the same month in a solar calendar. 4th Nov. 2023 is 21st Sep. in the lunar. Now it should rather be called "November Cherry". |
Cosmos petals are very similar to them.
This is another kind. The branches have more blossoms than the former. Neither of them seldom keeps leaves when blooming.
I have never seen this type of petal in spring. We always admire gorgeous blossoms and take many pictures. It's also very interesting to come closer to their petals and gaze them carefully for a while.
