We have had a pleasure to enjoy cherry blossoms this year as usual.
This tree is fifty years old. Cherries can glow so fast.
The petal of this kind is small.
This is another kind. The petal is bigger. I heard cherries have more than three hundred kinds.
Cherries were planted beside the ruin of an ancient temple built in eighth century. Circle stones indicate the position of poles.
Branches are big and long, withstanding winds and snows for many years.
Have a nice weekend.
How beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFrom both the front and back windows of our house we can see large cherry trees. We are very lucky. In spring they are white and in autumn their leaves turn a wonderful golden red. In summer one of them has delicious cherries. The other has small cherries which the birds love. what wonderful trees cherries are!
ReplyDeleteHello rtc, blossoming cherries are indeed heavenly. I particularly like the trees by the old temple site. I have heard that a lot of the decorative ones don't bear fruit, but I would rather have the fruit, especially if the cherries are the sour-fruited kind.

Beautiful is that cherry blossom, always makes for a good photo as do the daffodils. I have just put mine in a large pot for your coming spring later in the year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magic spring! I loved your next to last photo, rtc. I'd love to have this one in my garden, but more smaller :-)
ReplyDeleteThe cherry blossom trees are beautiful in your area. They look similar to ours here. I didn't realize there were more than 300 different kinds. That's a cool picture of the cherry trees and the circle stones.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trees while they last. The flowers here are mostly blowing in the wind by now and falling to the ground. : )

Always so lovely to see a blossoming Cherry tree ... great photo's.
ReplyDeleteI like your last one too, yellow is such a cheerful colour.
All the best Jan
So lovely! I've never seen such pretty cherry trees! Happy spring! x Karen
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful trees you've photographed for our enjoyment. I have a lone cherry tree in my garden which has proved a disappointment in the fruit department and produces meager quantity of blossom too so it is nice to sit back and admire the trees you feature in your post.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sakura! The last photo of the birds with yellow lilies is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think those sakura were taken in Tokyo or somewhere around Kanto area? In Kansai area, finally Sakura is in the peak now.
