Ume blossoms have begun to open. By seeing them, we can feel the arrival of spring and even if it is still cold, we are sure we will have warm days soon.
Hello Roughterrain Crane, How lovely these blossoms are! When I lived in Ohio, I always associated the earliest spring with smaller wildflowers such as skunk cabbage and coltsfoot. On either scale there is something magical about these first flowers to open. --Jim
These are pretty blossoms. It's been raining ALOT here, and I noticed at the park today some Pink blossom trees starting to open because of all the rain. : ) It tells me that spring is not too far away.
So pleased to have found your blog and seen your blossom photographs. We were in San Francisco are enjoying blossoms too. In fact, I just purchased a bunch to place in my dining room this past weekend. I believe those are apple blossoms and impart a pleasant air of spring indoors.
How nice to see these beautiful blossoms !!

There is something warm looking in the pink buds really, and the green leaves beyond, even though the leaves stay on all winter.
ReplyDeleteIt's always so nice to see blossom.
ReplyDeleteSpring is just around the corner!
All the best Jan
Wonderful to see the beautiful signs of spring! I am seeing some signs here, too! - Karen
