Slow Moving Typhoon
It rained all day long today. Typhoon Shanshan is moving slowly over western Japan. Its speed is only 10 kilometers or 6.3 miles per hour. Shanshan is still located 900 kilometers far away from the area I live, but it has been continuously bringing thick rain clouds even here.
Dearest RTC,
ReplyDeleteHope it moves out before doing any damage.
Remembering my role as chaperone and for bringing my 6 students home a day early from Japan on July 14, 2007 because of a typhoon...
Hugs,
Mariette
In my childhood memory, typhoon is scary
ReplyDeleteUmbrella time!
ReplyDelete最近幾個颱風都是吹往日本,我方也受到下沉氣流影響,天氣酷熱和間有暴雨。
ReplyDeleteI have seen on TV that the wind blew through an area with many inhabitants
ReplyDeleteRain is good for nature. It's not nice if the rain continues for several days.
ReplyDeleteThose are some dark and ominous clouds, for sure. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are safe and sound, my friend. Have a lovely weekend.

打風天氣很惱人.
ReplyDelete一切要小心,祝平安!
ReplyDeleteThe sky looks ominous! Hopefully the weather will have mercy on your area!
ReplyDeleteScary
ReplyDeleteLooks eerie. Hopefully it won't cause too many problems.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Hello rtc, This is a timely post as I am about to return to typhoon and rain territory. Long periods of rain and wind are gloomy indeed, but at least Taipei usually does not bear the brunt of the storms, as do many coastal cities. 但是颱風季節, 天氣又悶又陰沉.

Oh dear, that is very grey and cloudy. Hopefully it will remain slow-moving and not impact you
ReplyDeleteAlot of rain 🌧 isn't the best including the typhoo. Stay safe and hopefully it goes away today.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers to those in the path of the typhoon!
ReplyDeleteOur typhoon here just left the country. It could really get scary. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
