Farmers have finished rice reaping. As this summer was very hot and had many fine days, the rice crop is very good.
Some of them operate an enhanced combine harvester that has a function to perform the threshing treatment on the spot.
Straws are used for feed, compost. Farmers often spread them on the vegetable field to protect the growth of weeds and the appearance of harmful insects and also to keep the ground temperature warm.
Many persimmons have survived typhoons and strong winds.
I do not know whether they are astringent or sweet.
A bountiful harvest is always good to see!
ReplyDeleteI like both, rice and persimmons. So, I'm glad all's well with both.

That is a good harvest. I like rice very much. I tried persimmons, but they didn't have much taste.
ReplyDeleteDearest RTC,
ReplyDeleteSo that was a happy harvest for all the rice farmers!
Yes, in the mushroom industry the rice straw is also being used for making compost.
Also plenty of persimmon fruits on that tree—hope those are the sweet ones!
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteI must say it's so good to read your blog of a positive outcome for the rice...good news.
ReplyDeleteGood harvest of rice, RTC. I love persimmons and if they are not ripe I put them in freezer to make them sweet.
ReplyDeleteRice and persimmons, nice to see how they are grown.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good rice harvest. Thanks for sharing your thoughts into words and pictures 📸 . I'm not sure where persimmons are in grocery stores locally. I'll check it out. We like mandarins which like small 🍊 oranges. Have a good week! :-}
