Frog's eye is always sleepy or , it can be said, is concealing its curiosity to the outer world. If frogs had not been written in fairy tales, our childhood would have been less imaginative.
Quite a lot of small carps are grown in a water tank. A marking on the body changes in accordance with its growth. No one knows the final best marking at present. They look joyfully swimming without caring its colors. 这种鲤鱼被叫做“锦鲤”。
These are nice pictures of the frog and fishes. You're right, frogs go way back, even in fairytale stories. :) This orange school of fish are swimming happily along.

No wonder that frogs and fish are such constants in Asian (and other) art. I have featured fish before; I should do a frog post!

ReplyDeleteGreetings
I do like your first photo showing the frog.
ReplyDeleteYour second photo is indeed very colourful showing the fish in their various growing stages. I just wonder how many the tank holds ...
All the best Jan
I love the sound of peeping frogs at night - it always makes me feel all is right with the world! The little carp are so colorful. It is interesting that they change colors as they grow. Wishing you a happy week! x Karen
ReplyDeleteGood morning,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
Hi Sheri,
ReplyDeleteWe have many small lives in our childhood memories.
Hi Jim,
Yes. They are indispensable for Asian arts.
Hi Ela,
I hope you like carps.
Hi Jan,
I'm glad to know you like a frog.
Hi Karen,
I agree. The sound of frogs symbolizes peace.
Hi Elaine,
Thanks for stopping by.
Hi mio mio,
哈哈。要是它向我跳了上来,我就吓一跳。

We get frogs in our little pond and it's always fascinating watching them.

ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. I am always happy to see and hear frogs and the carp are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment today, friend. It was special. The words were from a quote and I believe this is true. Often we talk too much, and there's so much we can learn if we are just still for awhile.

Hopping over from Canada to say hello! I agree that frogs play an integral role in fairy tales. Thank you for the visit and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe have a garden centre that also sells fish for ponds. Many of the tanks look just like this one with many tiny koi. There is one tank that has some big monsters in it though, and they are amazing!
