The night view of Hakodate city in Hokkaido, Northern Japan. 北海道函館之夜景

When I visited the city, it rained heavily. But at 7:00pm, the rain stopped and clouds were blown off. I went up the mountain 334m height and got this view. Hakodate is an oldest port opened for international trading in 1854.
In this photo, a "U" shape on left side is the port and the right "U" is seashore which has a hot-spring resort.

  2. I love night views--they have a special magic. I once wrote about nighttime scenes on old post cards.

  4. Thank you for your comment, on my blog post.

This lovely photo, looks as if it were taken, from a plane. How amazing, to get this shot, by going up a mountain.

I love night shots of a city, with the lights. Which is rather bitter/sweet. Because, on the other hand, I dislike all the wasted energy, used in unnecessary night lighting. And because all this night lighting, robs us of seeing the night sky, in all its beauty.

Always a "so-called-good" and a "so-called-bad"... Like so much of life.

  5. Hello Tessa,
Thank you very much for leaving a comment. Indeed, there are so many inconsistencies in this world. We can take one and cannot take the other at the same time.
